Distance from Grand Bahama to Nassau

This may seem like a dumb question, but I really have no idea about these things. If we are staying on Grand Bahama Island for a week, would it be possible to visit Nassau for a day trip? How far is it? Are there ferries or boat trips between the two? Thanks for the info.

The two island are about 100 miles apart. There's no ferry boat or day tours between the two islands. You'd have to fly via BahamasAir and they are somewhat unreliable. The R/T flight runs about $150 pp. It's a time consuming trip, since you have to go thru the airport lines and waiting time.

Okay thanks, I'm sure we'll find plenty to do...or nothing to do at all, which sounds great to me anyway! I just thought it would be nice to go shopping over in Nassau, but I didn't realize it was that far! Saves me money!:p
