Dachshund Dad Posted February 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2007 Hi, We'll be sailing out of Vancouver this September, and are trying to decide where to stay the night before our cruise. The Pan-Pacific at Canada Place looks perfectly convenient, but has very high rates...and mixed reviews. Other hotels nearby get better reviews and have somewhat lower rates.(We check major travel review writers whose names begin with the letter F.) Cruisers who have been there, done that, what are your thoughts? Thanks!
Dande1 Posted February 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2007 We stayed there 9 years ago and it was ideal! Suggest you check exactly what terminal your cruise will depart from. In those days - everything left from Canada Place, of which Pan Pacific is a part, and you could eit diretly from the hotel to the termina and the bell hop would handle the luggage! No taxis, no fuss, and a wonderful home to return to for a night if you are fortunate enough to have an out and back cruise from Vancouver. Sure it is pricey, but if you hit the right night they have a fabulous Italian buffet available in the main dining room and the chef sings Opera!
