tjoe78 Posted February 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2007 We are thinking of doing Windstar for the Greek Islands and have to go in July. I know it is the busy hot time. Would it be better to go Istanbul to Athens where you go to Izmir, Patmos, Naxos, Siros, and Navplion? The reverse covers the more traditional venues--Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Bodrum? Also, am a little worried about such a small boat and no medical services--my husband is 75 and in good health, but he has had a heart attack and surgery several years ago. Maybe we should think more of Oceania?

Maybe we should think more of Oceania? If he is in good health there should be no problem. There is a doctor onboard in case of a problem. Also, you will be in port almost every day so if there is an emergency you have emergency services available. As for the route, it just depends on what cities you like. We have taken the "traditional" cruise and loved it.
