ORDPLATAA Posted February 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2007 We are considering the Westerdam for a February 2008 cruise. There will be three adults sharing this suite (my partner, myself and my mom). As my mom uses a scooter/wheelchair (she can walk limited distances), there is an accessible Cat. SC cabin on the ship. Cost wise, it is cheaper for us to share a cabin versus getting 2 cabins (plus we will be able to help her if she needs it). I am curious if anyone has had three people in one of these cabins and do the extra perks in this category make it worth sharing a room. For a point of reference, we have sailed on the Z'dam (June 2005), Infinity (June 2006) and Caribbean Princess (February 2007).
MercedMike Posted February 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2007 We have had three in a suite before, and it is no problem at all. The third person sleeps on the sofa bed, the steward makes it up nightly. The only problem you might have is that with the sofa bed opened, I am not sure how much wheelchair manuevering room you would have. It might be necessary for the sofa bed sleeper to get up and fold the bed in order to get around in the chair. A big perk for the suites is priority tender passes, which could be very helpful for the wheelchair. Here is a page of suite pics ... sorry I don't have one with the sofabed open. How Suite it is! Have a GREAT cruise!
