Sorry to create another threat but hoping this will get a better response.

We just found out we got room 1082 on Zudeirdam. What does wheelchair room have that regular room doesn't and vice versa.

Thanks!

as a wheelchair accessible cabin 1082 will have a larger bathroom with a roll-in shower with fold down seat and grab bars, an elevated sink that a wheelchair can roll under, no lip between the cabin and the bathroom and it will be larger than a regular cabin in that same category in order to provide enough room to turn a wheelchair or scooter inside the cabin. The door in to the cabin will be wider than standard to allow access to the wheelchair - and you will notice that it is adjacent to the elevators so that the disabled person does not have to wheel a long distance to go up or down.:)

thank you very much for pointing out that not all accessible cabins are near elevators BUT i did go to the trouble to bring up the deck plan for the cabin the OP was asking about 1082 on Zuiderdam and it is right adjacent to elevators.
