Birthday Balloon Question

Has anyone ever brought their own balloons to be blown up on the ship? My DH is having a BIG YEAR Birthday and wishes to forget, but alas, there MUST be balloons and cake. The balloons I would like to be mylar of my choice, so was hoping to get the steward or pursers office to have them blown up for me. Any advise or suggestions from you guys?

Soimetimes if you let your steward or the front desk know about a birthday, they will blow up balloons, arrange them into a type of bouquet, and tape them to your stateroom door the night before to surprise you in the morning. Happened to me once. :)
