Travel Insurance

When I purchased my Travel Guard insurance, I wasn't told I wasn't covered for cruise line default because I didn't purchase the insurance within 15 days of my initial deposit in Nov. Since there was no pre-existing condition involved, I never thought you would have to purchase insurance while you could still get your deposit back from the cruise line. Does anyone know whether or not the credit card companies reimburse you if you don't make a claim within the 60 days they indicate? Of course, nothing is going to happen to Oceania. I just want the info for future reference.
