A few hours in Victoria at night?

Our round trip to Alaska out of Seattle makes a last night stop in Victoria. Arrives Friday 7pm, departs 11pm.

 

We are having trouble getting excited about getting off the ship for 2-3 hours? Anything worth doing for this short amount of time, or should we just spend the last night on the ship?

 

We live about 5 hours south of Victoria so we have been there before by land and probably will in the future.

Well, the shops on Friday night will be open until 9 pm and, of course, the bars and lounges will be open late. Butchart Gardens is open until 10:30 pm, but it would be hard to get there and back and have enough time to enjoy the gardens.

 

If it's a nice night, you might want to taxi to the Inner Harbour and just walk around for an hour or so.

I'm pretty sure that Butchart Gardens will be available to you on a tour from the ship inside your stop window. The gardens are very beautiful at night.

 

Downtown around the Harbour and Legislature buildings/Empress Hotel also is lit up very senic and easy to get around.
