iriegirl Posted March 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2007 Hi all. I'll be arriving in Calica on the Imagination next Saturday, and am considering renting a car to do some touring on my own. Normally, I'm not a fan of renting cars and driving in unfamiliar states so I'm a little apprehensive about doing it in an unfamiliar country. I already have some things planned and will be on a schedule so renting a car seems to be the cheaper way to get around (the other option is taxis all around). The collectivo idea wouldn't work for my schedule. Can anyone give me any insight into driving in Mexico? Am I setting myself up for a nervewracking day? Also, are the rental requirements in Mex like the ones in the U.S. in regard to bringing the car back on a full tank? Will I need pesos for the gas or can I use my credit card/U.S. cash? Thanks in advance!
