Beach resorts

Can anyone suggest a 3-4 star beach resort for 5 days post cruise. We want to experience a location that is different to our ports of call (Acapulco, Zihuatanejo, PV, Cabo).

 

We're looking for a beachside location where the weather will be warm enough for swimming in February - sandy beach, pool, maybe all inclusive - suitable for a couple in early 50's.

 

Preferably a location that allows for direct flight access from LA.

theres a place i heard of just north of puerto vallarta that is suppose to be a nice relaxing vacation area,

 

its called punta mita

 

they have a 4 seasons 5 star resort, ive never been there, but i was reading about in a travel magazine,

 

maybe do a google search for images,

its like 30 from puerto vallarta, but i heard celebrities like the area since its less touristy,,
