Hotel in Rome for 5

I know there are many threads on this board about hotels in Rome. I have followed up on many that I have searched. I am just having trouble finding a hotel that is close to the sights, and can accomodate 5 people in a room that will not break the bank. I may be asking too much but my kids are 7, 10 and 14 at the time of the trip and am not crazy about getting two rooms that do not join. Any help would be greatly appreciated as our cruise is the end of June and I want to get our post cruise reservations taken care of as soon as I can.

We are in the same boat. Cruising from Rome in August with 5. We were going to stay 3 days precruise in 2 hotel rooms. We booked a small apt. through http://www.vrbo.com for 6 nights for comparable price. Take a look at that website maybe it can help your family. Good luck. Debbi
