jora333 Posted January 8, 2008 #28 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I keep a really clean house on a day to day basis, but before a cruise, I get really crazy about it being immaculate for our return. Also, have to schedule for our cats and hope she doesn't make a mess :p.

lilybug Posted January 16, 2008 #30 Share Posted January 16, 2008 Whenever we go away, I have to leave the house clean and in order. I have a thing about not leaving any dirty laundry behind.
thegotogirl Posted March 19, 2008 #31 Share Posted March 19, 2008 I do all of the cleaning and pedicure and all that stuff....but this is really important... Leave a photocopy of your personal information, license, & passport either with a close friend or relative or on your kitchen table. My son was overseas last summer, and his girlfriend had her backpack stolen with all of her personal things. It was difficult enough getting her a new passport (they were in China), but the process was much easier because they left all of the photocopies on their table. An important lesson taught to me by this experience.

thegotogirl Posted March 19, 2008 #33 Share Posted March 19, 2008 I too update all of my information for adult children, but also remember to leave a copy of your trip info and personal info (passport, license, etc). Last year one of our children was in China with his girlfriend, and her backpack was stolen (with all of personal paperswork). It was difficult enough getting another passport for her, but made easier because they were smart enough to leave photocopies of their passports, licenses, etc on the kitchen table. Lesson well learned from our kids!
