allpoints Posted May 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2007 Even though passports are not required - yet, please be aware that there have been some changes in what will be accepted as a valid proof of citizenship. -NO photocopies!! Original certified copies only (raised government seal) -NO hospital notice of birth registration. This is not your birth certificate. Those pretty baby feet impressions are cute but NOT a valid proof of citizenship. -Make that NO hospital notices at all. A hospital raised seal is not a government raised seal. -Baptismals are also not a valid proof of citizenship. Please review your documentation before your cruise. Just because you cruised with that hospital notice before does not mean you can now!! Oh, and don't forget that government issued photo I.D. (unless you are under 18). Best bet...get a passport!
