Beer within walking distance of Redhook?

No -- that's not really an area you want to walk around in!

If you could take a cab -- then ask the cabbie to take you to a nearby store -- there are some within 10 minutes.

Enjoy your cruise!

Does anyone no if their is a store within walking distance of the Crown

Princess at Redhook?

We will be taking the Princess bus transfers right to the dock.

Thanks

Steve

During the day this an an absolutely safe area to walk around. Its a fairly long walk however. At the walking entrance which is close to Van Brunt street(and about 1/2 mile from where the bus will drop you off) where there are a couple of Bodegas that sell beer at about half of what you pay on the ship(about a dollar can). The closest supermarket is Fairway(close to a mile and 1/2 walk) at the south end of Van Brunt street that sells beer at relatively reasonable prices. No beer sales before 11 on Sunday.

The motor entrance to the cruise terminal is at Imlay and Bowne street. The Walking entrance is at KIng Street by the Piers and the Cruise terminal itself is up by the water straight down from King Street.

This will give you an idea where stuff is.

actually the walking entrance was at Pioneer and Conover. I was just there this evening. I drove down. There were a fair number of people out walking. I went to have coffee at the cafe at Fairway and watch the RC ship sail from Bayonne. Its a beautiful evening. It turns out I was probably a little long on the distance by about 1/2 mile and the beer sales now start Sunday at 8 am....
