Barb C Posted May 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Is there a beach within walking distance to the cruise ship berth in Bermuda. We will be there in June on the Explorer of the Seas. Our previous cruise experience in Bermuda was on Zenith and we knew we could cab it from the berth in Hamilton, and in St. George, walk to Ft. St. Catherine. Any information is appreciated! sea-cruise Posted May 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2007 Snorkel Park/Beach is only a very short walk from the dock. There is a small pavillion, an inflated waterslide, and a white-sand beach. It has many tiny shells so rubber water shoes would be good, but I went in the water without them and my feet were fine. There is also a quarry right there where you can swim with the dolphins for a fee. Next to the dock there is a glass blowing factory, rum cake factory, and many little shops. I got a beautiful black pearl necklace in the jewelry shop for a very reasonable price! Much cheaper than the ship's store. Ferries run from there to all the other areas too so I think you'll have fun at that port.

Sue L Posted May 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2007 If you have any mobility issues there is a little tram that goes around the King's Wharf area and you can get off at the snorkel park.
