4 Days in Vancouver

Hi,

We (4 adults) will be staying in Vancouver from the 19th September 2007 for 4 days prior to boarding the Star on the 23rd September 2007.

Our itinerary so far we think will be:

1. Stanley Park
   
2. Grouse Mountain and maybe including Capilano Suspension Bridge
   
3. Looking at booking the Whistler Plane & Coach Tour through WestCoast Air.

My questions are:

 

1. What is the weather like at that time of year?
   
2. Is there snow at Whistler at this time?
   
3. Is this the best tour to Whistler?
   
4. We are staying at the HolidayInn Downtown, so what is the best local pub near our accomodation where we can enjoy the local atmosphere?

Okay I'll attempt it... hope it helps.

 

1. What is the weather like at that time of year? Ans: Usually great, temp could be anywhere from the 60's to the high 70's. It may rain as well. It's hard to say for sure but Septembe traditionally has great weather.
   
2. Is there snow at Whistler at this time? Ans: Village? No. Top of Mountains? Yes
   
3. Is this the best tour to Whistler? Ans: I'm not familiar with any of the tours to Whistler so am unable to field this one for you.
   
4. We are staying at the HolidayInn Downtown, so what is the best local pub near our accomodation where we can enjoy the local atmosphere? Ans: There are many many pubs/bars in the downtown core. It really depends on what sort of crowd/atmosphere you are looking for. What kind of music do you enjoy?

Yeah, looking for a local Vancouvian pub, pretty layback, and music, well 60s/80s type stuff. Music is not that important it more about atmosphere where it is not to touristy.
