thmpsn Posted June 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2007 We will be on the Grand Princess in October. Will dock at the Brooklyn Pier and I am wondering how far it is to the New York Metropolian Museum? Also any idea of the cost of a cab from the pier to the museum? Thanks for any help with this question. Karon
smeyer418 Posted June 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2007 The Met, as we New Yorkers call it, is at 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street in Manhattan its about a $30-35 cab ride. Its about 10 miles. A local car service will be about the same. I can give you the public transportation alternative but I suggest using the car service or a cab. JJPNYC Posted June 19, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2007 If in Brooklyn, you should check out the Brooklyn Museum of Art. It's quite underrated and their Egyptian galleries actually are one of the top 3 in the world- after Cairo & London.
