Mimi949 Posted August 18, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2004 Like many of you we arranged a private tour in St. Petersburg with Red October. Contrary to some horror stories I had heard about other cruise lines, the Crytal Symphony staff were most cooperative and allowed us "independents" to disembark first. Our guide, Elena, was waiting for us. She was terrific. We managed some unscheduled stops such as the memorial to the 900 day Siege and the Jewish Synagogue and she knew the history, architecture and stats on both. lady maven Posted May 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2005 what ports did you feel it neccessary to participate in the ships tours? we are doing the pre cruise in stockholm and the post cruise in copenhagen; since we have extra time in stockholm , arriving 7:30am we assume it would be easy to pick up one of the water way tours. after reading the boards these past few months, I'm amazed to find hardly any board members on this cruise; I spoke to crystal and they tell me the ship is full.......
