fajitapita Posted May 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2004 O.K., think scuba diving in Ketchikan is out for us... sure my husband would love it, but sounds a little too intense for me as I have become a warm water diver after vacationing to the Caribbean and Hawaii... So, it looks like we'll be kayaking in Ketchikan, which is the day of our 10th anniversary! Which tour would you recommend? Orca's Cove with Southeast Kayak Whiskey Cove Kayaking (ship tour) Clover Passage Kayak (ship tour) Tatoosh Islands Sea Kayaking (ship tour) Pennock Paddling (Southeast Kayak) Any others that I should be considering? Looking for "best" scenery and best chance of seeing wildlife... Cartib Posted May 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2004 You may want to consider how much time you have to spend in Ketchikan. I would recommend the Tatoosh Island trip - but you will spend 4-5 hours. Pennock Island has now become the Clover Pass trip. If you go to Tatoosh, you'll be taken by bus on a 20 minute ride to the north of town. Then you'll go by a very large rubber boat out to Tatoosh where you'll get into your kayak. There is a great likelihood that you'll see quite a bit of wildlife on this tour.
