Underwater Bag?

Recommended Posts

I got mine at a local boating store, like West Marine, Boat US something like that. I bought one for last year for my Carib cruise and loved it. They have various sizes for different items like phones, camers and ID passports. Its on a string that just hangs around our neck, its great had no leakage.

Hi,

There are diver dry boxes (not meant to be taken down to diving depths but to keep things dry on the surface or just below. They can be bought in all sizes. A good example is at scuba.com at:

But they can be bought at a lot of scuba retailer on-line.

I use a Sea-Line bag. They are water resistant and are aimed at waterspaorts like kayaking. I have taken them down to about 15 feet without leakage, but im not sure they have any depth ratings on them!

As a side note, I keep a bag like this in my room with everything I would need in it if I ever had to ditch at sea (Passport, meds, wallet) and when you seal the thing up it floats like a cork. ;)

I use the SeeBags for most things, but they do have a few products that have a rating of 3 meters for 30 mins

I found this one online and might go with it. It's a little pricey but I like the fact you can wear it around the arm or leg, neck or waist. It's not big enough for our passports but I think based on what I've read and what Royal Caribbean has told me, we don't need to take them into each port anyway.

Use a drybox or dry bag. Your room cards should be waterproof and you really don't need your passports. Your cash will survive if wet. The bag would be best if cards plus cash, the box if something of value like a cell phone. A large aquatics retailer like LeisurePro ,would carry photos of your options and a local dive shop or marine shop should carry stuff locally.

Anyone have any good recommendations for a waterproof bag/fanny pack or something to keep our ids, sea passes, etc. in while we snorkel or swim. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

P
