The ship will dock in the historic center of the city - excellently located. There are beaches nearby - maybe a 20 minute walk in either direction from the terminal, but I recommend going a bit further - say, to Playa Condesa . . .which is a 15/20 minute taxi ride (in the city itself, where Beto's and Paradise Restaurants have palapas on the beach you can rent for the day, eat, drink, swim in the Ocean, etc.). If you click on the photo link in my "signature line" below you'll be taken to a collection of photo albums I've uploaded and many of them are for Acapulco - and you can get an idea of what you'll see/do, etc.
