BOS 2/11 Ft. Lauderdale to Miami

We are going on Brilliance Feb 11, but we fly into Ft Lauderdale. There are eight of us arriving Sunday the 10th at different times. We would like some suggestions on place to get four rooms on the 10th and a Van Shuttle service from the Hotel in FLL to the port in Miami. The same transportation and hotel on the way back. Something clean is all we need, but we will need transportation to the hotel as well as the shuttle to and from the port. thanks.

We always stay in Miami in order to make embarkation morning nice and easy. Have you considered doing that. We use Holiday Inn Port of Miami and if you get a room on the port side you can see your ship in the morning. There is a shuttle from the luggage area at FLL to Miami hotels and or cruise port for 18$ per person. No reservations are needed. Keep in mind for the morning if you decide to stay in FLL that it is about a 45 minute ride maybe longer if there is traffic.

We had thought about that, but we arrive at different times and will have been flying all day from Albuquerque. However, we still might just do what you are suggesting. Just thinking about getting in at 7:00 PM and needing dinner. Is there a restaurant at the hotel in Miami?

Thanks so much for the reply.

Yes there but the Holiday Inn is also located literally across the street from the Bayside Marketplace where they have a whole bunch of different restaurants like Bubba Gumps, Hooters, food court, etc. Very convenient location. http://www.baysidemarketplace.com

Sue,

I just got on to the Holiday Inn Website and there are no rooms that night. You surely were onto something, so I guess I will continue on.

Thanks,

Patti

Have you consider priceline for the rooms, do "downtown" Miami and choose the star rating. I believe if you do 4 stars you will get the Intercontinental, Marriot etc. Some have gotten the rooms for in the 80$ range per room. It is something to look into and they are pretty close to Bayside Marketplace also.
