sajohnston Posted September 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 17, 2007 I'm sailing on the Holiday next August and the Costa Maya day has been changed to Progresso. I'm interested in the Mayan ruins but how much time will be eaten up on transportation? Also, what else do you recommend to do at this port? I'm not big on the beach scene/snorkeling/swimming. Thanks. sajohnston

Will in sunny FL Posted September 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2007 Be sure to check out the local flea/farmers market which is about across the street from where you get off of the transportation from the ship into town. Be sure to get to the meat portion of this market ! Makes you love the US even more ! Bill in FL

Most of the pictures on pages 4 - 10 are of Progreso that includes pictures of the city, the beach area (notice the seaweed), and the school we visited. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561035198ucuKnL
