Coffee plantation tours?

Will be in Hawaii in April. Want to take tour of coffee plantation, but harvest season is not at that time. Has anyone taken tour from either Hilo or Kona? The plantations seem close. Did you rent car or take taxi. Really want to see harvest not just a film. Thanks for your answer.

The main coffee area is on the Kona side, near the City of Refuge but farther up the hill...check out the Honaunau/ Holualoa areas
