Crown and Anchor status for Kids

I wonder if anyone can answer this question for me. We have Diamond status with Royal Caribbean from our past cruises on Celebrity. We have 2 boys 13 and 17. At what age will the boys be able to have the same status?

 

The reason I ask this question is that we will be on a B2B next June on Radiance of the Seas. Will they get the same recognition, or do they have to sail once with Royal Caribbean? By the time they are credited we will have been home for several weeks.

 

Any suggestions?

They will be diamond like you after the 1st part of your b2b. Go to the Loyalty Ambassador desk during the first cruise, so they have the correct status for the second cruise and during the 2nd cruise they will get the coupon books, return guest gifts, etc. Hope this makes sense

 

There is some sort of kids C and A now but I have no idea of the details, but they take on the parents status at 18 years old.

i believe that the coupon book is the same for kids regardless of status. It's pretty useless. The only coupon my kids used was the one for 10 free internet minutes in the teen room. There is also an arcade coupon, $15 for the price of $10. Lots of coupons for the Del Sol store in ports, and lots of coupons where you must buy something big to get something very small.

Nancy - Just call Crown & Anchor and you can get there C&A numbers and the coupon book should be waiting in you cabin. Like someone else posted the coupon are pretty useless. They do receive nice gifts.

Yes, the gifts were pretty nice. My husband and I got RCI message bags, and the kids got tote bags that were equivalent in size and usefulness.

We have yet to really find out if the C&A youth gifts are the same for each level. Not enough have posted about what their kids are receiving.

 

So when you return, please make sure you post what the kids get on the 2nd leg of the cruise.

True, but the books are not color-coded or labeled Gold, Platnum and Diamond like the adult books are, suggesting that they are all the same. We are gold, and our kids got the same coupons and gifts as platinum families we spoke to on the same sailing,.

We just returned from the Liberty with our 4-year old. We are platinum and this was his 3rd cruise with RCCL. They left us platinum coupon books and him a gold coupon book. I was under the impression that the kids would be the same level as the parents and they would have a separate coupon book but that was not the case for me. The extra coupons in the Gold book for the casino were nice for us, but nothing for him.

 

His gift was a package of Crayola twistable crayons. They are big crayons in a plastic box and were pretty nice!

Correct, we got an adult Gold book and two adult Platinum books. I asked the C&A girl when booking my future cruise on the ship if he gets a kids book and she stated I should get one in my room. At that point we had already received the gold book...

 

He is also listed on my cruise ticket as gold and we are listed platinum. I called C&A before our cruise and they said it was a typo and he was platinum in their system. Apparently, he is gold in their system.

My children, who are teenagers, got Royal Caribbean tote bags - they are very nice! I like them even better than the messenger bags we adults got.

 

PS: Prior to the youth program, there was a glitch in the computer regarding my youngest daughter's C&A status. We were receiving an adult coupon book for her, and of course, I never complained or corrected it because we made good use of those extra coupons. However, once we signed her up for the youth program, her status was adjusted.

We received 3 Platinum books while on the Brilliance. All I did was go to the Loyalty Ambassador and got the kids books for my DD. They even let me keep the extra Platinum book.

Those coupons aren't for free tattoos and ice cream. They are for a very small percentage off, or for buy one - get one at a discount. So you have to spend money that might not have ordinarily been spent in order to get something with the coupons

On Empress this summer my 13-year-old granddaughter received a messenger bag and both the adult and youth coupon books. The youth book was pretty much worthless as you say and she didn't use any of those coupons. We did take advantage of the adult coupons.

 

I got the pleather frame - sigh.
