Want to Book Another Cruise- Please Help

Hi Everyone,

 

I am all set to leave on my Fantasy cruise in about 2 weeks(11/3) and am already planning my next cruise vacation...probably again on the Fantasy(I like the convenience of driving to port & it's cheaper than going to Destin for a week) next Fall. I was wondering if I should wait to book onboard the Fantasy in 2 weeks? Would it be cheaper and/or would I receive OBC or some other type of enticement to book onboard? Also, should I go though my Carnival PVP or could I receive a cheaper price through an online T.A. or site?

If I do book in the upcoming weeks, I will be placing a deposit. What happens if for some reason I can't get the week off of work that I wanted to cruise? When is the last moment that I could cancel or rebook and receive a 100% refund, if at all? For instance, say I book for 10/4/08 and pay my deposit of say $500(just guessing). In April, I find out that I can't have that week off of work, will I get the full $500 back?

Don't feel pressured to book while onboard, UNLESS they are offering some kind of rockin' deal (onboard credits, very reduced deposit, free upgrades to your liking, etc). You have PLENTY of time to find a good deal elsewhere, maybe even booking into a group which should give you OBC's and reduced deposits. You can even wait for a good sale to come out, or you may receive a $50 off coupon on your next cruise, now that you are a past cruiser.
