Cruisin' Grandma Posted November 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2007 We will be calling at Crown Bay on our next Princess Cruise. Does anyone know if it's a walkable distance into Charlotte Amalie?
eh2zed Posted November 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2007 We will be calling at Crown Bay on our next Princess Cruise. Does anyone know if it's a walkable distance into Charlotte Amalie? I would estimate its at least an hour walk to the downtown and not a very nice walk either. It is further from Crown Bay to the downtown than Havensight. Take the open air taxi for $
The Islander Posted November 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Crown Bay to CA is about 1.7 miles, flat, along a main road, sidewalk most of the way, largely not scenic except for the part that is along the harbor apron. --Islander

CruiseLiz Posted November 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2007 Absolutely take a taxi. The walk is long and along busy streets. Also, the walk is not the best part of town either. There are better ways to see St. Thomas! :)
