joedebnh Posted November 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Looking for a good spot between tours. Any suggestions for a lunch location? Upscale is OK but a spot that the locals like on a day to day basis would work well for us also.
carib_traveler Posted November 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2007 Hook's Hut (beach bar,http://www.hookshut.com) is right on the beach and has surpisingly good food. In town your best bet would be one of the restaurants in Kura Hulanda (upscale, http://www.kurahulanda.com) or, for the local grub, you could try the Old Market (http://www.curacao.com/TheCuracaoDifference/CultureAndHeritage/LocalCuisine.aspx). RobNC2001 Posted November 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2007 CaribTraveler, we will be in Curacao on the Brilliance of the Seas right after New Year's on January 5th. Can you tell me roughly where Hook's Hut is located in relation to Willemstad? I'm assuming it is an easy cab ride, or can you walk? Thanks for all the great information! Lsimon Posted December 11, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2007 Last time we were in Curacao we were walking around town looking for a spot to have lunch and decided to take a cab ride out to the Kontiki beach club for lunch. Food and view were great. We didn't swim that day, but are considering just going there or another beach next trip.
