Car rental in sydney

For those who are interested, I found it easy to rent a car in Sydney close to the port. While Enterprise has been used by others, I had to use Budget since Enterprise was closed on Sunday. The Budget people said their office (501 esplanade) is just a 5 minute walk from the ship. It is 40C $ /day.

When I return I plan to post how this works out for going to Louisbourg, for all have urged, esp Caroline, to allow plenty of time for that.

Well, it was actually more like a 15 minute from the pier. I was a little irked by the misleading info by Budget... It was a nice day to walk, but wished we had known it was that far.

Last year, I stopped in the tourism office at the pier (left corner of the building as you exit the ship) to ask directions. They called the Budget office for the shuttle. It would also be a cheap cab ride.
