Beaches/snorkeling on Tahiti

Hi all,

 

I am looking for advice on finding a nice beach (that has good snorkeling) on Tahiti or a nice place to go snorkeling that is easy to get to from the pier in Papeete -- it doesn't have to be free, just easy to get to and from.

 

I have read about Mahana Park, has anyone been there? Does it have good snorkeling? Is it near Papeete?
