I finally bought some plywood for Ivan (figuring my luck has got to run out soon) but have not yet installed it. Many people recommend using the Tapcon system, but many stores are sold out by now.

The NOAA link below describes a simple alternate method of installing plywood hurricane shutters effectively. It looks fairly simple.

I thought I'd pass it along for the benefit of other procrastinators. :D
