Discover Scuba in Aruba, Has anyone tried it? I want to be in the water in Aruba, not stuck driving around and training in a pool. The tour is like 3.5 hours how much of that will be in the water.

I am looking at the mi dushi because it is 6 hours with 3 snorkel stops. Any info on either would be great.

Thanks

G.

The discover Scuba course allows for about 30 - 45 minutes of small group discussion, some time to get equipment ready, and then about 30 -45 more minutes in the pool. After that you go on an open water dive, usually to the Pedernales, a sunken ship that is in about 25 feet of water. The underwater dive lasts about 40 minutes (boat ride to the site is about 5-10 minutes from Palm Beach).

If this is what you want to do I would suggest you contact Unique Water Sports on Palm Beach. Depending upon what time you arrive they might have a course that is happening. They, and most operators, will pick you up at no charge at the pier and then bring you back. The cost is usually in the neighborhood of $80 per person which includes all equipment and the training.
