Cabin under the Galley

I'm cruising on the Carnival Liberty (I posted in the Carnival section too!) and I have just learned that my room is under the Galley. Should I be concerned about this fact? Is it any noisier than any other room?

Hello....

We got booked under some galley on Baja deck on the Star Princess, thanks to an "upgrade." We didn't know it until about 1:30 AM, and the carts were rolling around, banging, etc. We didn't realize what it was, and we actually had a representative or security personnel from the purser's office come up and listen. He then informed us what it was, as did the cabin steward. I don't know about your ship, but my guess is that it won't be much better. We were relocated the next morning. Why take a chance? Get a relocation as soon as possible, and check the deckplan online as to what is on either side of the cabin also. I actually call the cruise line now if I see any suspicious "empty space" above or near our cabin. Stay away from the laundry room, pool deck area, etc., also!
