keith61 Posted January 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Thought some of you who have recently cruised on the Dawn would be able to provide some guidance with regards to dining with children. Would it be feasible to take children to dinner in the dining room at say 5.30pm and supervise their meal and them come back later to sit down with adults whilst the kids are in the kids club. When travelling on the Sun a couple of years ago a separate area was set up for kids dining, is this facility available on the Dawn? Thanks in advance:)
chaz cruiser Posted January 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2008 We didn't travel with kids but I can tell you what they recommend: they suggest taking your kids up to the buffet to eat. Then book in for a later dinner in the restaurant while they are at Kids Club. Cheers, Charmain:)
livingstone Posted January 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2008 we were thinking to take the kids to the buffet early, assist them to eat their dinner then drop them back to kids club. this would leave us free to enjoy a sit down meal together without stress. keith61 Posted January 20, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted January 20, 2008 Sounds like a plan thanks. Forgot about the buffet that certainly makes sense. Cheers Keith
dea71 Posted January 21, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2008 HI Keith! We are also cruising on the 7th of March with some friends - 7 kids in all - the buffet sounds like the go (our only problem is that we have 2 little ones under 2 in our group - no kids club - just hoping the day wears them out in time for a sleep in the pram at 'grownup' dinner time!! ) Dea

They behaved perfectly and the waiters were great with them. So don't be afraid to take them with you, it wont be a problem. Don
keith61 Posted January 22, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted January 22, 2008 Dea I am sure the sea air and all the activity will wear them out and they will be asleep by the time you want to dine and caouse you no fuss at all. Cheers Keith
dea71 Posted January 22, 2008 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2008 hi keith we hope for everyone's sake that we can wear them out - if you hear "Riley get down....."Riley put that knife down"....."Riley come here" - you will know that the 30 laps around the promenade deck have not worked their magic   In all fairness they are pretty good when it comes to eating - until THAT WORD is uttered - "ENOUGH" and then it's time to move on (usually just as mains are served!). Just looking forward to someone else cooking and clearing away.....bliss! Dea
