Pride-checking in rolling Ice chest????

:) Is true that one check in a cooler on wheels??

we plan to fill it with diet soda and bottled water, and have the room
steward keep it filled with ice...

cooler is 3.5 x 2.5 with handle and 6inch wheels

should we put on a belt style strap to help keep closed, but can inspect if necessary???

We took a soft sided cooler with 24 sodas in it but our friends had a rolling ice chest with stuff in it. We checked them with our luggage (don't put ice in it) - no problem. I would put a strap around it or some duct tape.

Here is the picture of the ice chest we took on the Pride filled with sodas and bottled water. We checked it with our other luggage and it was sealed with duct tape. Our room steward kept it filled with ice.
