Yellowbird boat excursion or Blackbeard Cay?

Can anyone tell me about the Yellowbird Boat and if it is suitable for a 15 year old and a 3 year old. pretty hard to keep both of them happy! also i would like to know if there is sand fleas

No sand fleas when we went. And from our experience, it was boring enough to even be appropriate for the 3 YO, LOL. Seriously, though, I must tell you that the ride over and back to the beach took longer than we were even there. It was a waste of time and money, IMO.

appriciate the honesty! but which are you refering to or both!? im debating eithr shore excursion or just catching a cab to cable beach. we have already been to paradise island before and thought we would try something differnt.

I don't know what to suggest as an alternative. I've heard really good things about the day passes at the hotels. I think it was the British Colonial Hilton that's like $15 pp for use of their beach/pool/facilities. Just a thought.

I did Yellowbird in 2005, I was 20 at the time and went alone and I had a great time. However, its basically an excuse to drink, it was mostly all the 20-30something crowd and a lot of people were pretty drunk by the time that boat came back. The kids would be really bored I think on the ride there/back. The beach is nice enough, but everythings expensive and you're stuck there until the boat goes back.
