Nice beach/Snorkel - Coki or Sapphire?

My family has been to St. Thomas once about 6 yrs ago. We took ferry to St. John and snorkeled at Trunk Bay. That was our first snorkel experience from shore and enjoyed it very much. Ever since, we have snorkeled at Cozumel, Akumal, Honduras, Hawai. This summer we are going to cruise Southern Caribbean and St. Thomas is one of our stop. We have a group of 16 from 13 - 65 yrs, this is the first visit to St. Thomas for the other families. My newphew is on wheelchair and he is very sensitive to heat, therefore we think the trip to St. John is too strenous for him. So we decide to visit a nice beach in St. Thomas for 1/2 day and then return to ship for him to rest and the ladies and teenagers can go shopping after lunch. Which beach is best suit for our group? 6 of us are really into snorkeling, 4 ladies are just want to relax and enjoy the nice beach, 6 teenagers like everything.

Thanks for your inputs.

There's plenty to see and do at both beaches but Sapphire may be your best bet because they have quite a bit of natural shade so it may be cooler for the nephew who's sensitive to heat. It's also "wheel chair-friendly" getting from the parking lot to the beach.
