Glacier Wedding - Time on Ice?

For those of you who have done a glacier wedding, how much time did you spend on the ice? Did you opt to extend your time on the glacier or wish you did or didn't? We are trying to decide now and I am concerned that we will be too cold or get bored. Any ideas?
