akwaaba Posted March 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2008 I'm on NCL Star Aug 23rd and want to go whale watching; there are two choices: Whale Watching & Wildlife Quest (NCL featured tour) or Whale Watching Adventure Has anyone been on either one, or have heard anything about them. Thanks Sheila
LRDR01 Posted March 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2008 We took the Wildlife Quest tour when we were in Juneau. We thought they did a fabulous job. Nice sized boat, and really knowledgeable guides on it. We saw a ton of different animal species and were able to get really close to them. Of course, the highlight of the cruise was the whale watching. I lost count of how many humpback whales we actually saw. I can tell you that we did see them "bubble feed" four times. They even had a underwater microphone that we could listen to them communicate with each other. I would highly recommend the one with Wildlife Quest. knorrisb07 Posted March 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2008 there are several whale watching operators in Juneau. Go to their visitor bureau's website, there is a page listing some of them.
cjnky Posted March 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2008 The favorites in this forum are definitely Orca Enterprises, or Harv and Marv. You may want to check with these highly recommended independent vendors to compare prices.
