MirMar Hotel ?

Anyone know anything about this hotel? We know it is NOT in Old San Juan and we will have to take a taxi to the Port. VIP travel booked it for us. Any info on taxi service? Thanks.

I am booked into the Miramar Hotel for 2 nights pre-cruise in April. I booked mine through Hotwire.

 

This hotel has been receiving mixed reviews. Some good and some very, very bad. From what I can tell, it is situated in the business district of Miramar and is not too far from the new Convention Centre. It is a stone's throw to the Pan American Pier which both Celebrity and RCI use as their San Juan home port. I have been advised, however, that it is not feasible to walk to the pier due to freeways but it is a short cab ride.

 

The amenities seem to be few but if you are merely looking for a spot to set your weary head, which I am, it fits the bill. The hotel has about 50 rooms and from all accounts is clean and pretty much well kept.
