Daytona Beach ideas

Hello, CC friends. This is not a question related to cruising per se, but I will be vacationing in Daytona in May, and I wondered if any CC members who lived in the area might give me some ideas. I already have booked a room, (the Boardwalk Inn, hope its OK). Got a great deal on airfare and the room was cheap. Any suggestions on restaurants, sights to see, and especially golf courses in the area. Also an idea on what a taxi from the airport to the beach area would cost.
