Anyone see Lava with NCL tour?

We are sailing PofAm 4/19 - Has anyone been recently and seen the newest Lava flow with a tour through NCL? If so, which tour did you take and how close do you get?

The Kilauea Hike and Volcano Odyssey is reverting back to the Kilauea Lava Viewing Adventure Hike. At this immediate moment, you can only go to the ocean entry viewing. The county blocked off entry to the road where the lava crossed near the porta pottys because of the fire hazard (lava has hit the trees).

At this point, the lava entry is about a 15 minute walk out to the coast. Who knows what will happen in April. My suggestion is to keep an eye out here for updates. If anything....this is the best place for updates.

If you need to rent a car to see it, do it now. They usually are sold out whenever there's a ship in port.

hello... we just got back yesterday from pride of aloha... great cruise! Suprisingly great service, and food. no problems to speak of. As of about 3 or 4 days ago, the lava had stopped flowing. We were scheduled to go by it at about 9 pm on the last day out of the big island... but when i asked an officer of the crew, he said that it had stopped two days prior. Same info gathered when we went to VNP when in port to hilo... lots of the roads in the VNP were closed too due to sulfur, etc... still lots to see there!
