This is our first cruise. We leave on Conquest 10-17. We are going to Sunset Beach in Jamica. Hoping to find some real jerk chicken and some banana rum. What about other flavors and the price ? Not a real big drinker. Want to do the Atlantis thing in Cozumel. Must buy Vanilla there also- any safe place. I also work at a hotel and we house the Delta Queen people- the matre-d said to make sure we buy a coke card. Any help will be appreciated and loved. Yall are the best here- I have picked up many usefill tips here.

We were on the Conquest in February of 2003. In Montego Bay stay away from downtown! If I had to do again I would take a taxi straight to Doctor's Cove beach, then we did walk down to Margarittaville, real fun place (I think I did read here that is was closed due to hurricane damage, so you may want to check) then we took a water taxi back to the ship.

 

So sorry that you will be missing Grand Cayman - such a beautiful island. I feel so bad for them especially after seeing the pictures.

 

In Cozumel we rented a jeep and our then 17 year old drove us around the whole island. We took our time and stopped several places, had plenty of time. It was nice being on our own and really getting to see the island.

 

The Conquest is a beautiful ship. We had awesome wait staff and bar guy. We still talk about them. My husband and I were on the Glory in February and were hoping by chance we would run into them, but we didn't.

 

Have a great time - I'm really suffering from cruise withdrawals, just got back September 2nd from a cruise with my Mom to Alaska and have no cruises planned in the near future - we are talking 2007!!
