There is a 15% gratuity charged for bottles of wine with dinner!

I have paid gratuity on each and every bottle of whine purchased on RCI, even when I have purchased the wine package. The only reason the waiter brings the wine now is because RCI eliminated the wine steward's position a few years ago. The 15% has always been there, at least since 1999 when I started cruising, the only difference now, is who gets it.

P.S. I also paid gratuity on the 1 Carnival, and 1 Princess cruise I went on. Hindsight is usually 20/20, memory rarely is.

If they still have the wine and dine, can you have the bottle delivered to the room to start drinking before dinner? If so, can you then carry the rest into the dining room with you?
