Wine Taster Posted April 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2008 We are planning to take the 14 day Rome to Amsterdam cruise on the Princendam in June 2009 and are wondering about the relative merits of veranda cabins in the AB vs AA categories. I note that the ABs all seem to be located on the back of the ship near a semi-private (?) deck. If we select an AA, we would want the starboard side (for the view) and the only ones that seem to be available are shower only which is OK if the showers aren't too small. I would appreciate any comments about these cabins. Thanks

I was on the Prinsendam for one cruise in an inside cabin on Dolphin Deck. My shower was plenty large enough for me (and I'm not the "teeny" type ;)). I must guess that showers in higher category cabins than I was in would be at least as roomy. I hope this is of some help.
Wine Taster Posted April 21, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks Ruth, I am still wondering about the difference between the AA and AB cabins. And is it important to be on the Starboard (land) side of the ship when cruising from east to west in the Med. - Better view or will we be too far out to make a difference? RuthC Posted April 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2008 I hope someone who can help you comes along and sees this thread, Wine Taster. As a cave-dweller, I know I can't tell you too much. I can say the Prinsendam is a beautiful ship, with excellent service. I would happily sail her again.
