Anyone gone on sailing santorini?

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of going on the sailing santorini trip. It is very expensive for our family of 5 but it sounds wonderful. We once spent a day sailing in Grand Caymen and it was our best day of our trip. Should we splurge and spend the big bucks or enjoy a donkey ride in to town and a nice lunch overlooking the caldera?

The hot springs sound pretty cool.

We did the 5 hour tour with Santorini Sailing last year and it was by far one of the best days we've ever spent while on a cruise ship. The crew did a great job, the views were great and the food that they prepared was awsome.

After a very port intensive cruise this was a great day to un-wind, relax, swim and snorkel. I don't know how old your children are but my son was 7 last year and he's still talking about the Santorini day.

We did not do the donkeys, even my son thought they were "gross and stinky". After the sailing tour we still had time to take 2 hours to go and see Oia.

We were there last summer. The donkey ride smells really bad, so many and close together. Take the cable car up wander around then take the public bus at station center of town go to Oia and have lunch there. It was great fun and beautiful.
