Visitor paperwork

Recommended Posts
I've been reading in the guidebooks that a "visitor pass" is required in Mexico. Do the cruise lines take care of this, or do we even need one if we are cruising?
You do not need one. Be sure to carry your passport/birth certificate-picture id because you are in a foreign country.
Have a great cruise.

The people arriving on the cruise ships don´t need this paper which is called a tourist card. Those that arrive by air do and it is turned in when they depart. IF for some reason, God forbid, that you have to stay in Vallarta due to illness or emergency, the port authorities will ask to take your passport and in a couple of hours will bring it back to you along with the tourist card. Then, when you depart the airlines will take it back.
