Why Is There Such a Difference in Price for Taxes & Fees From TA?

*Wink*

Recommended Posts

Our TA is charging us $430 for Government Taxes and Fees, whereas NCL would only charge $150 for the same cruise, same category.

Is that the cost of having a personal TA to count on? Just curious.

Thanks.

Your TA can probably explain the differance better than anyone on this board. That's who I'd be asking.:) :)

I agree. I just didn't want to offend them by asking w/o some advice.. so that's why I've come here first.:o

I've got an email into them, but I was hoping to get some feedback before we spoke.

Thanks.

Does your TA have the fuel supplement and travel insurance itemized separately? I'm thinking it might be a collective sum of all government taxes and "additional" fees.

Hi Barb,

Yes, everything is itemized. So, it's really just the taxes/fees that are so different. NCL charges a bit more for the fuel supplement, but that's probably just because of when we booked and today's cost. NCL's "Travel Protection" is more than the "Travel Insurance" We've bought.
