sea-cruise Posted June 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2008 http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=2636 As a result of overturning the restrictions, cruise lines will be able to open casinos and shops after 10 p.m. Allowing ships to open casinos at night is a big deal precisely because most of Bermuda's cruise calls are multi-day commitments. As such, passengers traveling on Grandeur of the Seas, for instance, could only access the casino during sea days. The new policy runs counter to the island nation's otherwise strict gambling laws, which prohibit gaming houses.
pattpga Posted June 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2008 That's great !! One of the reasons I tend to stay away from the Bermuda cruises is you cant gamble, shop(even for a bottle of tylenol),until the ship has left port . Good move on somebody's part !! It was a pleasant surprise, that's for sure! :) Last time I was there I was wishing that everything would open up. That late at night, it would never hurt business owners on the island.
