Canopy Tour and Stuff Help Please

We will be in Roatan in a couple of weeks and want to do the canopy tour and beach party that the Sun is offering. Does anyone know what you do with your backpack and snorkel equipment while on the canopy? Can you keep this in the van or bus that the ship uses?
